It’s that time of the year again …
This year the Hermanus Times Kalfiefees takes place from the 7th to the 10th of August and, as usual, the programme is packed with a variety of entertainment. With a few surprises, new and ‘old favourite’ productions- there’s sure to be something of interest for everyone.The Overberg puts on a feast of top-notch local Afrikaans talent in music, art, poetry, comedy and drama at the annual Kalfiefees this August.
Showcasing an art route of 22 galleries, one of the highlights is an exhibition of work from emerging talents out of Zwelihle township. On the music scene there’s a great line up ranging from the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra to ‘Van Boereseun tot Brel’ where you can listen to stories set to the strains of the trekklavier.Don’t forget your party shoes for the Groot Saterdagaand-Jol after some good laughs at De Wetsaal (Stoepstories). You can langarm the night away to the best boeremusiek South Africa has to offer.
